Prince Edward Island released Information about Immigration Draw, June 2022
Over 130 eligible candidates have received invites from the province.
Under the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Program (PEI PNP), 136 invitations have been issued by PEI. On June 16th, the draw was held.
A total of 127 invites were issued under the Labour and Express Entry streams. With a minimum points requirement of 65, 9 invitations were issued under Prince Edward Island's business impact and work permit stream. The overall number of invites for this draw is lower than the 153 sent for the most recent draw on May 20.
The province of PEI arranges its provincial nomination draws a year in advance, with draws occurring once a month on average. The PEI PNP has issued 1,174 invitations since July 2021, with 826 of them being issued in 2022.
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
With the exception of Quebec and Nunavut, all Canadian provinces and territory have their own PNPs. Despite the fact that provincial nomination is not the same as permanent residency, it can help you get permanent residency from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

b) Critical Worker stream: This program is for individuals with work experiences in NOC codes C or D. A minimum of two years of work experience is required. The candidate must be between the ages of 21 and 59. In addition, the candidate must have completed high school and be able to prove that he or she has adequate funds.
c) International Graduate stream: This stream is for recent graduates from Prince Edward Island approved learning institutions that have been accredited (e.g., universities and colleges). Applicants who meet the requirements will work in a skilled profession related to their field of study. They will be offered full-time employment by a PEI employer.
Category for Business Impact
The Business Impact category is for applicants who want to start, acquire, and run a business in Prince Edward Island.
You must apply through the Work Permit Stream to get an invitation under Prince Edward Island's Business Impact Category. Candidates for this program are expected to start working in Canada and learn about the industry while on a work visa. You must be willing to live on Prince Edward Island and actively manage the business. If the entrepreneurs fit Prince Edward Island's requirements while on a work visa, they may be eligible for a provincial nomination to support an IRCC application for Permanent Residency.
Application Process For PEI PNP
To apply for this, the applicant must ensure that he or she meets the qualifying requirements for the stream in which he or she wants to pursue. The candidate must submit an EOI, or Expression of Interest profile, together with passport and identity documents. If the candidate is chosen, he or she will receive an Invitation to Apply. The candidate will have 60 days from the date of receipt to complete the online application form as well as submit the supporting papers. After getting the provincial nomination certificate, the candidate can apply for permanent residency.
