- ATLANTIC INTERMEDIATE-SKILLED PROGRAM: This program is for those workers who are Intermediate-skilled. For this an individual must hold work experience at NOC skill level C gained either in Canada or outside.
Eligibility criteria for both the above-mentioned programs
- Education: A Canadian high school diploma would be required if you have completed your studies from Canada itself. In case you are an international graduate then you would be required to submit an ECA i.e., educational credentials Assessment. To apply in Canada AIP, the ECA measures your level of education whether it is meeting the Canadian Standards or not.
- Skilled Work Experience: You must have minimum one year of work experience in the relevant field.
- Language Proficiency:You must be proficient in either English or French. A minimum score of CLB 4 would be required in case of English and Niveau de competence Linquistique Canadien for French.
- Provincial Endorsement: A letter of Endorsement would be required to be eligible for these programs.

- ATLANTIC INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE PROGRAM: In Atlantic Immigration Program, It is a program for international students who holds a diploma or other related course from an Atlantic public educational institution.
Eligibility criteria for international graduate program
- Education: A post-secondary diploma of minimum 2 years from a publicly funded learning institution in Atlantic is a must to be eligible for this program. It must be noted that you have gained this diploma within the 12 months prior to the submission of the application for Permanent Residency.
- Skilled Work Experience: You must have minimum one year of work experience in the relevant field.

What is the application process?
Following are the steps to file your application in Atlantic Immigration Program:
- The application process in case of AIP is quite different than that of other programs. Initially, it begins with the connection of the candidate and the settlement service provider which is provided by the employer. The settlement provider then conducts a needs assessment service to decide on the settlement plan which is to be followed by the candidate and its family.
- After deciding the settlement program, it is then shared with the employer and the candidate as well.
- The employer then go through the settlement plan, finishes the endorsement application and discover the best suitable program that is relevant to the work experience of the candidate. When the settlement plan and job is finalized, it is then submitted to the provincial government.
- On submission of the settlement plan by the employer, the candidate also submits a completed permanent residency application along with the required documents and endorsement letter to the IRCC. If the application is approved then the candidate can move to the Atlantic Canada along with your family if you have applied along with your family.

- Candidate’s Application Fee - $1325 including processing fee of $825 and right to PR Fee $500
- Candidate’s Application Fee without PR - $825

- Dependent Child Fee - $225 per child (Note: There is an exemption for dependent child on paying PR fee.)
- Biometric Fee - $75 per person
- Biometric maximum fee per family (Two or more person) applying at the same time and place - $170
What is the processing time of Atlantic Immigration Program?
The usual processing time for application is six months. Within six months of receiving the endorsement letter the applicant must file for Permanent Residency. However, if the employers have an urgency of filling the vacancies, then in that case the immigrant can be given a temporary work permit so the skilled candidate and arrive and work right away while waiting for the application to be processed.
Note: The applicant is given a Temporary Work Permit (TWP) for 12 months in case the PR application is getting delayed.
