Documents Required For Different Types of Visa
There are numerous types of visas to which one can apply based on their needs. To avoid confusion about what documents are necessary for what sort of visa, we have included some of the important documents required for various types of visas below.

Documents Required For Student/Study Visa (All Countries)
- Valid Passport: In order to be eligible for Student Visa, the candidate must have original passport having a validity of minimum six months. In addition, it must be noted that the passport have at least two blank pages and he/she must also have a photocopy of passport’s data page and photo page (in case it is separate).
- Passport-size pictures/Digital Photographs: Usually, two passport size pictures are required. However, one must have 4-5 pictures in order to avoid any problematic situation. It must be taken into consideration that the pictures are colored with good lightening and light background showing full face. The size which usually required it 48mm x 33mm, however it might differ depending on the requirement
- Letter Of Acceptance: Whether to apply for a student visa or apply for an educational loan, LOA is a must to provide as this acts as a proof that you have been admitted to the University/College.
- Proof of Tuition Payment and GIC: While applying for the student visa, the visa officer need to be assured that the candidate has made the payment of the tuition fee along with the GIC which ensures that the student will be able to bear the expenses in the initial phase.
- Educational documents: Along with all the necessary documents, the students are required to submit their educational credentials showing their educational background.
- Statement Of Purpose: SOP is the most important factor while applying for the student visa because on the basis of the same, the authorities would make a decision of granting the visa. Therefore, one must take advice of professionals for the same.
- Language Proficiency Test: Another thing which is mandatory while applying for the visa is the language proficiency test score card. Documents Required For PR Visa (All Countries)
For Individuals
- Valid Passport: In order to be eligible for PR Visa, the candidate must have original passport having a validity of minimum six months.
- Marriage/Divorced/Death Certificate (If Applicable): In case the candidate is married or divorced or unfortunately if the spouse has died then he/she must provide documents regarding the same.
- Language Proficiency Test: Proof of language tests is extremely important for most of the countries on a PR Visa. The candidate must fulfill the criteria of the minimum requirement and must provide the proof of the same.
- Updated Resume: The candidate also need to make sure that he/she has provides an updates resume so that no information can be missed out.
- ECA Report: The educational credential Assessment of the academic credentials should be done from an authorized body like WES (World Education Service) only. It is an important document and has a validity of five years from the date of issue.
- Professional Experience: Another thing which must be provided is the proof of work/business experience as this acts as a major factor in getting the Permanent Residency especially in case of Canada where you are applying in particular NOC. Appointment letter, relieving certificate and salary slips/form 16/ITR/Employment Reference Letter are usually required as proof for the same.

Documents Required For Work Visa (All Countries)
- Passport with a six-month validity period.
- Digital color photographs with white background (3.5cmX4.5cm).
- Travel health insurance: Usually, medical services are free in most of the countries, however if anyone has major medical issues then he/she must have a health Insurance.
- Employment contract: Though it is not mandatory to have a job offer however it is a compulsory requirement for many programs of various countries.
- Resume and proof of work experience.
- Education Certificates (if any).
- PCC - Police Clearance Certificate
- Other supporting documents as required
Documents Required For Visit/Tourist Visa (All Countries)
- One recent passport size photograph in color with white background (3.5cm by 4.5cm).
- Passport/Travel document must:
- Have a validity of at least 3 months after the intended stay;
- Have been issued within the previous 10 years and the validity must not exceed 10 years; and
- Have 2 blank pages.
- Certificate of the travel agency of the prepaid program or in the case of an individual visit the reservation of accommodation provided that you paid a deposit or have to pay a cancellation fee.
- Salary slip of the last three months from the employer
- Detailed bank account statement of the applicant of the last three months.
- Pension slip of the last three months;
- Certificate of registration in the case of the self-employed Minors:
- If the minor is travelling with only one parent, written consent certified by public 2 notary of the other parent or guardian, except in cases of a parent having sole custody or guardianship of the minor, in which case a court order or other proof of sole custody or guardianship must be provided;
- If the minor travels alone (without parents), written consent, certified by public notary, of both parents or guardians having custody or guardianship of the minor;
- Copy of identification document(s) (with signature and photograph) of the parent(s)/guardians having custody/guardianship of the applicant.
- Travel Itinerary with travel dates, including a return flight reservation or ticket. (Mandatory for European Countries)
- Overseas travel medical insurance valid for all Schengen countries. The insurance has to cover the applicant for at least 30,000 Euros or equivalent, for all risks e.g. accident, illness, medical emergency, evacuate of arrival and departure. (Mandatory for European Countries).
